Tesla’s First Solar Neighbourhood

Tesla has been able to make a name for itself. We all can spot a Tesla when we see one but who is behind all of this? Elon Musk, a creative genius and environmentalist, made it his mission to help boost the world’s shift to renewable energy sources. He released his first car in 2012 and was awarded the Best Overall Car, while Motor Trend named it the Ultimate Car of the Year. Not only is he the CEO of Tesla, but Elon is also the founder and CEO of Neuralink, a company that develops ultra-high-bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to link the human brain to computers. In addition, he also founded The Boring Company, which combines high-speed, low-cost tunnelling technology with an all-electric public transportation system to relieve soul-crushing urban congestion and allow high-speed, long-distance travel.

But how do we see this take place? Tesla’s first Solar Neighbourhood is under construction in Southeast Austin. Tesla technology is currently in use in private residences. Tesla Energy, a division of Tesla Inc., has teamed up with Brookfield Asset Management and Dacra to create a long-term community. This will include Tesla V3 solar roof tiles and Powerwall 2 battery storage. According to the release Easton Park homes is one of the most sustainable residential communities where the solar neighborhood will be built. This project launch will affect how new products are developed. The end goal of this project is to create a “energy-neutral, sustainable community” that may be used as a model for large-scale housing developments all over the world. Solar energy will tremendously help the environment as there are many advantages to it.
